A strong community builds a great nation! Salute the Troops believes that we need strong community engagement to support service-members, veterans, and their families. Since our founding, we have partnered with organizations, leaders and businesses in our community to work toward the goal to provide assistance to those who have served and continue to serve our country.

 

Some community events that we have been involved in are:

ANNUAL VETERANS FISHING TRIP

Salute the Troops partners with Winnebagoland Musky Club to sponsor a 3-day fishing trip for veterans. We provide boats, lodging and food. The fish tales are provided by the veterans. Each year,12 veterans participate ─ why not join us at our next fishing event?

HEARTS FOR HEROES RIDE

A community initiative to raise funds. Salute the Troops helped organize and sponsor the ride throughout the Fond du Lac area on the Walleye Weekend grounds.

 

VETERANS SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT

The group is for veterans only.

This is a veteran support group initiative where vets can talk to other vets about their needs and successes. It is the platform for vets to share their stories with fellow vets who understand and share similar experiences about serving one’s country.
