The 4th Annual Stars and Stripes Scramble was a huge success helping Salute the Troops and local veteran’s organizations throughout Wisconsin.  The event was held at The Golf Club at Camelot in Lomira, hosting 124 golfers and a tremendous rifle volley, flag ceremony by the Fond du Lac Marine Corps League, and the Brownsville Fire Department.

“Wow! What a fantastic event again this year” Laura Beaudion, Stars & Stripes Scramble Committee chair, said, “Our local veterans are deserving and the support the community and the sponsors showed for Stars & Stripes Scramble was amazing …you produced for such a worthy cause" With this year’s efforts, Salute the Troops, the keynote recipient and co-organizer, received $13,250. These funds will benefit Salute the Troops’ Warrior House in Lomira and their many efforts throughout Dodge, Fond du Lac, and Sheboygan counties. Once again, Salute the Troops will donate from $500 to $1,500 to the Fisher House, Horicon Marsh Veterans Hunt, and the Gold Star Trail in Horicon, all organizations with ties to veterans.

To date, Stars & Stripes Scramble donations to local organizations total over $60,000. The heart of the success of Stars & Stripes Scramble, for the fourth year in a row, is the result of great sponsorships. This includes CD Smith, Midwest Accounting, WaterStone Bank, West Bend Mutual, Sprecher Brewery, Badger Auction, and Quad Graphics.   The 5th year of the Stars & Stripes Scramble will take place on Tuesday, June 12th, 2018. For more information on this event, including information on how to become a recipient of proceeds, please contact Laura Beaudion, The Golf Club at Camelot, at 920-269-4949.
