SALUTE THE TROOPS HIRES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Salute the Troops has hired Kim Galske to serve in the role of executive director. She will assume these duties effective April 10, 2017.

Kim Galske

Kim is a veteran herself, having served with the United States Marine Corps from 1996 until 2001. During her time, she served as a NCOIC Police Records and Truck driver/mechanic. She was stationed at Camp Pendleton in California.

“Becoming the Executive Director for Salute the Troops is the fulfillment of destiny and the culmination of all my previous experiences in business and life” said Galske. “I’m passionate about getting others excited about making positive changes in life, in our communities, and strengthening the spirit of servant leadership.”

There are an estimated 410,000 veterans in the state of Wisconsin. In Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, and Dodge Counties, there are approximately 30,000 veterans and Salute the Troops seeks to better assist veterans and their families locally, with the potential for growth into other counties. This growth is only possible through the hiring of a dedicated, forward-thinking, executive director.

Additionally, Salute the Troops oversees the Warrior House Support Program, a transitional housing facility for male veterans, located in Lomira, Wisconsin.  “Salute the Troops is beyond excited to have Kim on board in this role.” said board of director’s president Daniel Tinsley, “Through her guidance, leadership, and vision, we will be able to take Salute the Troops to the next level, assisting the greater veteran community.”
